Reimbursement Policy: Refunds, less a $50 non-refundable registration fee, are only granted for documented medical conditions or withdrawal requests received at least two weeks prior to the course start date.

Prerequisite Skills
Before the Course Begins
Participants must successfully complete the following American Red Cross prerequisite skills on the first day of class. Failure to complete prerequisite skills will result in failure of the course according to American Red Cross standards. No refunds will be granted.
Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence
Swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both.
Swimming on the back or side is not permitted.
Swim goggles are allowed.
Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only.
Swim an additional 50 yards.
Timed Retrieval
Swim 20 yards.
The face may be in or out of the water.
Swim goggles are not allowed.
Retrieve a 10-pound object from 7 - 10 feet.
Return while holding the object.
Exit the pool without using a ladder or steps.
Complete in 1 minute, 40 seconds.
